P_CONTENT[6] = ("Illustratie gaat niet langer over het materiaal waarmee word gewerkt, maar over het beeld dat ontstaat vanuit de fantasie van een illustrator. <br\/> Tijdens mijn studie ben ik erachter gekomen dat mijn kwaliteit vooral ligt bij het fotografisch illustreren. Dat wil zeggen dat ik vaak werk van een 3D (vaak zelf gemaakt of samengesteld beeld) naar een 2D beeld, waarbij ik fotografie gebruik. Een logisch gevolg daarvan was dat ik in de minor fotografie mijn kwaliteiten als fotograaf heb verbeterd. <br\/> Mijn stage periode zag er heel gevarieerd uit. In de richting waarin ik aan het werk was kon ik geen alles omvattende stage plek vinden. Simpelweg omdat er erg weinig illustratoren fotografisch werken. Wel heb ik veel feedback kunnen krijgen van externe personen die geheel of deels aansloten op mijn werkwijze. Daarnaast heb ik meegelopen met een aantal personen om nieuwe technieken te leren die ik nu gebruik bij het maken van mijn 3D beelden. Ook heb ik in opdracht een aantal illustraties gemaakt.<br\/> Vanuit mijn interesse naar het theater heb ik ook bij Hotel Modern stage gelopen. Mijn werk stemt op zekere hoogte overeen, doordat zij veel werken met 3D maquettes die ze tijdens hun voorstellingen d.m.v film omzetten naar een 2D beeld. De toeschouwer ziet zowel de maquettes als het gefilmde beeld.");

After following the course of drawing on high school I started the art academy in 1999. My focus is acrylic painting. <br>\
My main drive was to express myself and I fitted in best with the stylistics and intellectual background of \"xpressionism\". <br>\
In 2003, my graduation year, I made a collection of duo-prints. Printing on paintings with the use of another painting, pressing them together to give physical resemblance and also mechnicalizing my hand signature. <br>\
Lately my aim is to connect a sense of real-time experience to a painting. Painting is often seen as static and two dimensional. I feel this is a loss to fully experience paintings. Traditional painting tries to bring an illusion of something 3 dimensional onto a flat surface. I search to visibly alter this perception. Some of the outcomes of this search are that I started painting on transparent plastics and use photo shop and video projections to explore painting.<br>\

Giving workshops in acrylic mediums feeds the need to keep experimenting and innovating myself with these mediums. Using different primers, charcoal, pastels,acrylics, paste's en gels... well you can see for yourself in my photo stream.<br>\

I am an open minded and friendly person but also sceptic and thoughtful.<br>\
